Ads
As you might have noticed, this website has ads. The ads are there to help defray my part of the cost for hosting aitj-co, as well as to help me pay for eye surgery for myself.
I use the AdBrite network, as they pay three cents per thousand ads delivered, unlike most ad companies, which deliver only on ads clicked, and consequently, material(s) bought. That way, there is no pressure on my visitors to spend their money to support me.
So, where does that leave you?
I will NEVER pressure any of my visitors, guest authors, or contributors into endorsing, clicking on, or otherwise artificially driving up my ad counts. Indeed, doing such a thing is against AdBrite policy. If you want to help me out, then you can:
- Tell others about aitj-co
- Create links to the blog, or bulletin board
- Become a guest author and publish here
- Comment on articles
- Participate on bulletin board discussions
- Click ONLY on ads that deliver content you are truly interested in!
Doing these things will ensure a quality site, with quality ads. For those of you whom do not wish to view ads, I am working with the webmaster of aitj-co to reprogram the site and remove the hardcoded ads. It is my desire to switch to a WikiHow model, and I am working hard to deliver my dream to you, my valued user.
In the meantime, I urge you to switch to safer web surfing.
For better internet browsing, I highly recommend Firefox, with the NoScript and AdBlock Plus extensions installed and enabled. AdBlock Plus will stop ads from being delivered to you, and will also stop ad cookies from being installed in your browser.
I also recommend using Ad-Aware or SpyBot Search and Destroy on your computer at least once a week, to help clear up anything that slips by.
